Heartland-CP Strikers Preview: The Naze Millionaires eager to rebound in the President’s Federation Cup
Heartland will look to bounce back from their uninspiring performance in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League season when they slug it out with CP Strikers of Borno in the President’s Federation Cup Round of 64 tie on Wednesday in Jos.
The Naze Millionaires are winless in their last five games but they can set their next league tie against Abia Warriors this weekend in motion with a victory over the Police Machine team from Maiduguri.
The game holds by 1pm on Wednesday at the New Jos Stadium, Zaria Road, Jos and the team knows only a positive outcome will help galvanize the season that has been interrupted with ups and downs.
CP Strikers of Borno do not have much information about them except being the winners of the 2025 Borno FA Cup and also being a team organised by the Police. Police Machine teams across the nation are made of players who have been trained to ensure all adversities and fear no foes despite being an amateur team.
Heartland arrived Jos on Monday evening just smarting from their 2-0 loss to Remo Stars in Ikenne in a NPFL Matchday 29 tie the previous day. The boys were hard hit by the defeat knowing that the Owerri side have now been drawn into relegation war, they must think out of the box and strive to beat CP Strikers to give their fans back home something to hold on to.
