Heartland Vs Bayelsa United Preview: Bruised Naze Millionaires seek redemption in Yenagoa

Five time Champions Heartland FC of Owerri this Sunday will engage Bayelsa United in a tricky Nigeria Premier Football League Matchday 8 duel at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa.

The Naze Millionaires were held to a 1-1 draw at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri on Thursday after an exhausting trip to Maiduguri a few hours earlier.

The lads are expected to recover from the fatigue and exhaustion before Sunday’s battle against the Prosperity Boys.

Speaking to Heartland Media
Chief Coach Charles Uzor praised the fighting Spirit of the team especially in the Second half against Ikorodu City and urged the team to push things a notch higher against Bayelsa United on Sunday.

“Our team is improving, we fought gallantly against Elkanemi Warriors after spending 3 days on the road, we fought hard against Ikorodu City especially in the Second half and I believe we will push harder this Weekend in Yenagoa,” Uzor told Heartland Media.

The Naze Millionaires are unbeaten in three games as they get set to battle Bayelsa United on Sunday as the Samson Siasia Stadium.

Both teams played twice last season with Bayelsa United holding Heartland FC to a 2-2 draw after battling back from 2-0 down while the Prosperity Boys won the return leg 1-0 through a late goal after the Owerri side had missed plethora of chances in the game.
