Niger Tornadoes Vs Heartland Preview:The Naze Millionaires seek consolidation against Ikon Allah Boys

Still smarting from their impressive home win over Shooting Stars, Heartland FC are already settled in Minna, the Niger State capital with the quest to improve on the important victory in Owerri when they trade tackles with Niger Tornadoes on Wednesday in a NPFL Matchday 25 tie.

The Naze Millionaires really dominated their opponents from Ibadan on Sunday before handing them only their second loss in the last 10 games and having put that result behind them, the boys have vowed to ensure that they secure a positive result in Minna to build on the success they had against Shooting Stars.

Both teams are no strangers to each other. Last season, they won in their respective home games. Tornadoes came back from behind to win the game 3-2 in Kaduna while the Naze Millionaires triumphed 1-0 in a very tough fixture in Owerri.

This season, it was the home win against Tornadoes that opened the Naze Millionaires’ victory march and the club has gone ahead to win seven more games thereafter with eight drawn games and eight losses to record 32 points.

Tornadoes have a lot to fight for as they presently occupy the 13th spot with 31 points which is just a spot behind Heartland. The Naze Millionaires too do not want to have a repeat of the experience they had in Katsina where they put almost every foot wrong before losing 1-0 to the Chanji Boys.

Heartland have travelled with full complement of their players led by skipper, Nnaemeka Anyanwu and Christian Molokwu while Tobi Iyanda will still be missing the action just like it was in the home game with Shooting Stars.

Heartland Technical Manager, Emmanuel Amuneke expects a tough game but he reckons that he has built a team that thrives on hard work and perseverance.

He said the Naze Millionaires would play to instructions and try to secure a positive outcome to make amends for the long trip to Minna.
