NPFL Matchday 9 Heartland Vs Remo Stars Preview: The Naze Millionaires hunt for victory against the Sky Blue Stars

Heartland are condemned to winning against Remo Stars of Ikenne this Sunday at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri in a Nigerian topflight Matchday Nine tie

The same fixture at the same venue last season had Heartland pounding Remo by 3-1 in Kennedy Boboye’s last game for the club.

Heartland incumbent Chief coach, Charles Uzor was also part of the technical crew that took charge of that fixture.

Kennedy Boboye was in tears after the game as he was bowing our of the saddle as Technical Adviser of the team.

Under Technical Manager, Emmanuel Amuneke the team has evolved gaining momentum with every game.

Speaking to Heartland Media Chijioke Opara says the team is battle ready again to take on Remo Stars.

“Remo are a good side , they came second last season but our team is ready to beat them again just like we did last season,” Opara told Heartland Media.

Cross River born referee Dr Joseph Ogabor is in charge of this one , Heartland won a game with him in charge for the first time at Home in 2020 against Abia Warriors in Okigwe

Folusho Ajayi was the referee who officiated the disputed Plateau United versus Heartland in Jos in 2016. The Owerri side got relegated thereafter for the first time.

Eight years later Folusho Ajayi is coming to Owerri in a game against Remo Stars of Ikenne. Incidentally, Heartland FC skipper in the game in Jos with Plateau United, Chinedu Efugh, is currently the Welfare Officer of the club.
